Shoutbox Plugin v0.111

Update The version marked as 0.11 released yesterday has a bug which renders the shoutbox unusable (without data loss or anything, just nobody can leave shouts). This has been corrected, so please update again to version 0.111.

The new 0.11 version of the shoutbox plugin is ready. In this release, I have implemented two features I missed in the previous version, i.e. the nicknames password protection and the division of the shouts into pages, in the administrative area. Feel free to make comments on this.

The shoutbox plugin (which you can see at the bottom of the right column, in this page) lets your users leave short messages visible across the whole blog (if you put the plugin in header or footer). It features administrative control page from where you can delete shouts, mail alerts, and some more options.

Download it here: shoutbox_plog_plugin-0.111.tar.gz

Alternative download (please, use only if you have problem with the previous one)

This link to download the plugin tarball isn’t working. It downloads resserver.php instead. Could you please fix it? TIA!

This is quite strange, it works perfectly well for me (Konqueror KDE3.3.1)… what browser are you using?

Ok, I have provided an alternative download on a pure HTTP server, so you shoud try that one (check the link at the end of the post). However, it is strange that you have problems with the previos one…

I am currently using IE6+ even tried “Save Target as” and it still just wants to download resserver.php. I thought it was a bit strange myself. The alternative download works like a charm. Thanks!

Oh yeah, you might check (edit) your post in admin and make sure the original link is correct in there, then repost.

Just a suggestion.
